All rooms and porches have views of Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands.

Room 1: South and east-facing upstairs front corner room with queen bed and private bath (shower). Includes small sitting porch.
$129 per night June 12 - October 5; $109 off-season.*

Room 2: South-facing upstairs room with king or twin beds and private bath (shower).
$109 per night June 12 - October 5; $99 off-season.*

Room 3: South and west-facing upstairs corner room with queen bed and private bath. Includes small private porch.
$129 per night June 12 - October 5; $109 off-season.*

* Rates are based on double occupancy and are subject to applicable sales and lodging taxes. A 2-night minimum stay is required (exceptions possible—inquire).

Deposit and Cancellation Policy

Deposit of one night’s room charge is due at time of reservation. Balance is due at check-out.

We accept personal checks, travelers checks, and cash. We are not equipped to accept credit or debit cards at this time.

If you cancel more than 7 days before your arrival date, the full deposit may be applied to another stay during 2008 (subject to availability) or refunded, less $25. If you cancel 7 days or less before your arrival date, you’ll receive a refund of your deposit, less $50.

Other Information

Pets are welcome at no charge subject to prior approval and some limitations.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the Wachsmuth House premises.

Our breakfasts feature local organic products and fair trade organically grown coffee. We serve full breakfasts on weekends; week days may be continental plus.

Driving Directions:
As you come north into Bayfield on Hwy 13, you'll go by a fish shop and barber shop on your left just before 7th Street. Continue past 7th Street and turn left into the alley. We're the first house on the right. Coming from Duluth/Superior via Hwys 2 & 13, drive through Bayfield until you see our house and sign on the right. Then turn right into the alley behind our house.

Park on either side of the historic brown barn that is now our garage. Check-in any time beginning at 3:30 p.m. Follow the flagstone path to the veranda and enter through the front door.
